Tell us what you do at Hexagon PPM, where you’re located and how long you’ve worked here.
I have worked as a technical sales consultant since 2011; I’m located in São Paulo, Brazil.

Before working at Hexagon PPM, what was the most unusual/interesting job you’ve ever had?
I worked with road data collection. In the last project I participated in, over 10,000 points of interest were collected on a highway of approximately 370 miles.

How do you balance career and family?
My daughter was born last January, so I’m really focused on having quality time at work so I can go home and dedicate a pleasant amount of time with my Joana!

How has Hexagon helped you in your career development?
Hexagon gave me the opportunity to perform different activities in these eight years. Starting in the services team tending to service requests, training clients and performing consulting services on schematic solutions. Now as a technical sales consultant, we have the mission to present the full potential of our solutions to amaze the customers.

If you could switch your job with anyone else within Hexagon, whose job would you want?
Anyone from the Hexagon Innovation Hub! These guys are always looking for new technologies and how it could help the customers. It really excites me.

What advice do you have for prospective Hexagon candidates?
Once you understand your life purpose, it doesn’t matter the role printed on your employee card.

What has been your favorite project at Hexagon?
I would say that the most challenging project I participated was in the beginning of my career in Hexagon PPM when I had to go to the Petrobras (Brazil’s main customer) site to assist them to define Smart Electrical seed. I thought I wasn’t that experienced, but at the end of the project, I noticed that I knew more than I imagined and we delivered the project with success.

Best vacation you’ve had?
Sequoia National Park, California. It was amazing to see the millennial trees.

Do you have a favorite newspaper, blog, etc.?
My time to get updated of what’s happening in Brazil and around the world is driving to the office. I used to listen to the news from a Brazilian radio station called Jovem Pan, “Jornal da Manhã” (Morning News). I listen to the news while I’m driving so that I’m using my time in a better way.

Do you have a favorite quote?

Do you have an office nickname?
Quite a few people at São Paulo office call me by a fusion of my surname and Hexagon. Ladessa + Hexagon = Ladexagon!

If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to see?
I wish I could’ve joined Woodstock music festival in 1969.

What advice would you give to recent new hires?
It takes time to assimilate Hexagon technologies, so be patient. Ask yourself at the end of every day if you learned something new; you’ll notice that Hexagon has an endless source of amazing information.

What is the first concert you attended?
U2 was the first, but my favorite was a concert by The Killers!

What is the most important thing you have learned in the last five years?
After my daughter was born, I learned that life is bigger than I imagined.

You’d like to be famous for?
To have a yacht and drive my Ferrari in Monaco! Of course, assuming I’m also rich!

You’re happiest when?
I’m a morning person, so I’m always happy when I wake up!
