Engineers sometimes encounter rectangular or squared sectioned (as opposed to cylindrical) vessels. These vessels are often used in the medical industry, where the packing space must be maximized.
In this case, the rules for cylindrical vessels cannot be employed. A flat plate is the weakest element to sustain pressure, and must be treated with great care.
This webinar will show how PV Elite with its CodeCalc functionality can perform the complete analysis in accordance with Appendix 13 of ASME Section VIII, Division 1 for various configurations.
Ray joined CADWorx & Analysis Solutions in 2003. Ray is a senior support engineer for TANK and PV Elite. His duties include training in the use of PV Elite software both in the United States and abroad.
