In this blog post we are pleased to introduce you to Jaerak (JR) Park! Customer Success Manager from Seoul, South Korea.
Tell us a little about yourself and how you came to Hexagon?
I started my career as a developer of PDS based automation. Through collaboration with the Smart 3D development team in 2008, I joined Hexagon (then Intergraph) drawing development team. After working as a developer for 5 years, I moved to the Korean service team and engaged in various projects based on Smart 3D for further 6 years. Last year I took on the role of Customer Success Manager.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
I personally love mysteries. I like to discover, analyse, and solve problems. I am enjoying my work, thinking that my role now is like solving mystery with customers. Sometimes the relationship with the customer is so tangled that I think there is no way out, but I also believe eventually the mystery will be solved.
What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?
I think I might want to be in a legal profession, because I used to like to study law in university even though my major was electrical engineering.
What did it mean to you to win the SKO award this year for “Most Courage”?
I didn’t expect the award so it was very much a surprise to me. After I moved to my current role, many things were new and challenging for me. But thanks to the help of many colleagues, I was able to settle down. I would like to take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude to my colleagues. I still need a lot of help and will continue to grow through all of PPM’s talent.
What would you like to achieve next, professionally or personally?
As a Customer Success Manager, I want to create strong relationships where customers continue to trust and rely on our technology.
Personally, like before the pandemic, I want to travel more with my wife. There are still so many interesting places that have not been visited in the world!
