From a capital investment perspective, Aspen Technology’s reliance on Hexagon PPM engineering and design tools is money well spent. By optimizing work processes from early design through detailed engineering, these tools help the company achieve objectives by reducing the risk of time and budget overruns.
At HxGN LIVE 2019, Hexagon interviewed Vikas Dhole, AspenTech’s vice president of engineering product management, to gain insight into what the enhanced collaboration with Hexagon PPM will mean to customers as they seek to improve engineering and design processes.
Dhole confirms that facility operations are also impacted by this alliance.
“From an operational point of view, we have a suite of products that help our customers maximize margins as the asset is operating with the existing processes,” Dhole says.
“More recently, we’ve introduced a new suite of products that help our customers maximize utilization. We call it asset performance management, and that really reduces unplanned shutdowns as well as increase reliability.”
